When a short link is shared on social media, platforms like Facebook automatically scrape the page for OpenGraph tags to gather information about the content being shared. By setting up OpenGraph Metadata for your links, you can influence how your content appears in social media feeds, increasing visibility and engagement. Here’s how to set it up:

Access the link creation screen:

Log in to your PlutoLinks account and navigate to the link creation screen by clicking on the “Links” tab and then selecting the “Create Link” button.

Add destination URL:

In the link creation screen, enter the destination URL for the link you’re creating, select your domain and customize the back-half if you wish.Scroll down to the Open Graph Metadata section.

Upload Image:

After completing your link information, scroll down to add an image for OpenGraph Metadata. Click on this option to upload an image from your computer, this is the image that will show up when you share the link.

Enter Title:

Provide a title for your link. This title will appear when the link is shared on social media platforms. You may want to make it descriptive to capture your audience’s attention.

Enter Description:

Write a brief description that summarizes the content of the link. This description will accompany the title when the link is shared on social media.
